Outstanding BCOE Educators


ASCD is excited to announce the selection of 46 educators for its 2017 class of emerging leaders. The Emerging Leaders program recognizes and prepares young, promising educators to influence education programs, policy, and practice on both the local and national levels.

Ms. Shana White, is one of Bagwell's 2017 Outstanding Scholars, and is one of 46 educators named to the ASCD Emerging Leaders Class of 2017.

In 1994, Apple created the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) program to recognize K–12 and higher-education pioneers who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning. These are the educators who are looking to change the world. They are active leaders from around the world helping other educators rethink what’s possible with iPad and Mac to make learning deeply personal for every student.

Andrea Rioux has been selected for the The Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) Class of 2017! This is a huge honor! World Wide there are 2,133 ADEs and only 820 in the Americas. Andrea graduated with her masters in Instructional Technology from KSU 2012. Currently, she is the Instructional Technology Specialist at Autrey Mill Middle School in Fulton County.
