Certificates and Endorsements

• Autism Spectrum Disorder

  The purpose of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement is to prepare teachers to meet the needs of students with autism. According to the National Center for Disease Control (2018) an average of 1 in 54 children has an autism spectrum disorder, a number that has increased tremendously in the last decade. 

• Dyslexia Certificate Program 

  The Dyslexia Certificate Program is a fully online program for P-12 teachers that focuses on effective reading instructional strategies for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. The three-course sequence is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).

• English to Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement

  The ESOL Endorsement Program At Kennesaw State University Is A Three-Course Sequence (9 Credit Hours) With Embedded Field Experiences.

• Gifted Endorsement

  This fully online endorsement is comprised of four courses (12 credits) and prepares teachers to meet the needs of gifted students.

• Special Education Graduate Certificate

  The fully online Graduate Certificate in Special Education provides teachers with foundational coursework in special education to help them teach children with exceptionalities. 

• Teaching English in Global/Local Contexts Certificate program

  This is a fully online program that prepares practicing and new educators to be teacher-leaders in TESOL. This graduate-level certificate program prepares individuals to educate an increasingly varied population of students within and outside the U.S. through global perspectives.
