Online Teaching Endorsement (OTE)

The OTE is designed for educators holding a Georgia PSC clear, renewable teaching certificate. If you do not hold a clear, renewable GA teaching certificate, please apply to the Online Teaching "Certificate" program.

The purpose of the endorsement is to prepare candidates with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become effective online teachers. Over the course of three semesters, candidates in the Online Teaching Endorsement program will complete three (3) online courses (9 credit hours), two (2) field experiences, two (2) online practicum experiences, and an electronic portfolio. Once you have completed all 3 courses, you should apply for the online teaching endorsement from the GaPSC.

The Gifted Endorsement requires 4 courses and our ITEC program only has 3 electives.  You have some options.  You may either take an extra elective during one of your semesters, or you may take the 4th Gifted Endorsement course the semester after you graduate with your degree.

There is nothing additional you will need to do to continue on with that last course after you graduate. However, once you complete it, you will need to contact Kellie Oxford, our Certification Officer to make sure she completes the recommendation form for the PSC.  She can be reached via email at koxford@kennesaw.edu.
