Stanford University and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) formed a partnership to develop and share edTPA. edTPA gives teacher preparation programs access to a multiple-measure assessment system aligned to state and national standards- including Common Core State Standards and the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) - that can guide the development of curriculum and practice around the common goal of making sure new teachers are able to teach each student effectively and improve student achievement.
edTPA is a subject specific assessment and includes a review of a teacher candidate's authentic teaching materials as the culmination of a teaching and learning process that documents and demonstrates each candidate's ability to effectively teach subject matter to all students.
All edTPA resources/information for KSU candidates, faculty, and supervisors can be found on the dashboard (main screen) of your Chalk and Wire account. Please log into Chalk & Wire and look to the bottom right hand side of your dashboard. These resources will be regularly updated so please check frequently.
Collaborating teachers gain access to the KSU edTPA resource site via the URL/weblink sent to them by the KSU candidate. The site requires a password, which should be emailed by the candidate as well. Candidates will find this information (link and password) in the KSU edTPA Candidate Resource site on their Chalk & Wire dashboard (see above).
If you have questions or concerns regarding access to these sites please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, KSU number, degree program and as much detail regarding your question as possible.
