Project Goals
The project has three main goals:
- Recruit and Enroll Bi/Multilingual Teacher Candidates (BTCs)
We aim to enroll 120 individuals in two distinct TESOL pathways at KSU, focusing on individuals who are bilingual or multilingual. These pathways include a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement at the undergraduate level. - Support and Prepare BTCs
The project will offer professional development programs tailored to meet the academic, social, and financial needs of BTCs. These supports will help them acquire the skills necessary to better teach multilingual learners in Georgia’s P-12 schools. - Retain BTCs through Completion
The project is committed to retaining 80% of its participants through program completion.
