Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other LanguagesThe MAT TESOL focuses on teaching P-12 students who are culturally and linguistically diverse. Core courses include curriculum development, collaborative practices, and content area reading and writing.
Teacher Leader EndorsementThis program is supported by the literature on the distributed leadership concept that calls for the collaboration of teacher leaders and school administrators to improve their schools and student learning at the P-12 level. This is NOT the new teacher leadership certification field.
Dr. Holly W. Arnold Selected by U.S. Department of StateDr. Arnold is part of a select group, as one of approximately 80 U.S. citizens each year selected to serve on an English Language Specialist assignment.
The Department of Instructional Technology M.Ed. studentsAmy will receive a $5,000 stipend, and her school will receive a $10,000 grant to support innovative instructional strategies.
BCOE was well represented at the GaETCOver 30 presentations by ITEC and iTeach. GaETC is held annually in Atlanta, GA at the GICC and is the largest technology conference in the state.
