Institutional Resources and Support Available for Participating BTCs
Technology Labs: AVATAR Lab and Universal Design Lab
Bagwell College offers advanced technology labs, including the AVATAR Lab, which uses
Mursion's virtual simulation technology to help teachers practice ESOL techniques
in simulated classrooms. This provides hands-on training in culturally responsive
teaching and classroom management with real-time feedback at no extra cost.
Professional Learning Communities through iTeach
BTCs and mentors will join monthly professional learning communities to foster collaboration.
Supported by iTeach, these meetings enhance BTC experiences and are offered nationally
at no cost.
Teacher Resource and Activity Center (TRAC)
BTCs participate in a "Back-to-School" preparation day, accessing classroom materials
and resources at no cost. This event fosters connections and helps BTCs prepare for
the school year.
Mentorship and Coaching for Sustainable Leadership
BTCs will receive mentorship focused on sustainable leadership, highlighting stories
of bilingual and multilingual leaders to inspire them to become education leaders
who advocate for linguistic diversity.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Workshops
Workshops focus on academic dispositions, mental health, and teacher well-being, addressing
students' emotional and psychological needs while supporting teacher satisfaction
and reducing burnout.
Additional Project Support Offices and Staff: This project will also be supported by staff from a number of KSU and BCOE offices that are essential to the implementation of a successful partnership including the following offices and services:
- BCOE Office of Clinical Experiences, Placements, and Partnerships (CEPP)
- BCOE Recruitment Office
- BCOE/KSU Office of Admissions
- BCOE Education Technology Labs for Practicum and Coaching Support
- KSU Office of Students with Disabilities

- KSU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
