Welcome to the Kennesaw State University (KSU) TRiO programs website! The KSU TRiO programs are housed in Paulding County, Dallas, GA. Through KSU TRiO, we believe that every child regardless of background should have the same chance at making a positive impact on his or her community. We provide this opportunity by eliminating the critical barriers to success that many of our children face, thus putting them on a path to:

  • Reading proficiently
  • Graduating from high school
  • Receiving higher education
  • Becoming globally competitive professionals

KSU TRiO programs are federally funded, grant awarded programs which partners with East Paulding High School (Upward Bound Math Science), Hiram High School, (Upward Bound), and Rockmart & Cedartown High Schools (Upward Bound) to provide qualifying students with free state of the art services designed to assist them achieve successful completion of high school graduation, entry into college, the workplace, and beyond. KSU TRiO’s main goal is to make sure that TRiO families have everything they need to succeed and positively impact our community.

Each program provides both free traditional and virtual opportunities for our students. By offering these services at no cost to our students, we hope to remedy the disproportional lack of representation many families face in collegiate environments. 91.2% of KSU TRiO students are first-generation college students. While access to the services of our program is just one piece of the puzzle that bars many families from equitable representation in colleges, we use our platform to help students overcome all the barriers preventing their success.

On our website, you will find information about our individual programs, documents for our participants, our upcoming events, and more. Feel free to contact the Kennesaw State University TRiO programs office if you have any questions about our program. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
