Aspiring Educators of Tomorrow Conference
For over 12 years, The Aspiring Educators of Tomorrow Conference (AEOTC) has been held annually in the Bagwell College of Education. Eleventh and Twelfth grade high school students in Georgia Teacher Pathway programs are invited to attend. This year, the event is scheduled for Friday November 8, 2024.
The main goal of AEOTC is to inspire students to consider the field of teaching and higher education.
Objectives
- To target the juniors and seniors in high school involved in the Georgia Teacher Pathways programs, in school districts in the state of Georgia.
- To invite students who have not indicated a preference in a major as a way to inspire and encourage them to further their education, and to consider pursuing a career in teaching.
- To provide students with the opportunity to experience the Bagwell College of Education.
Participants in the AEOTC will meet with other high school students interested the field of education at Kennesaw State University. They will participate in large group sessions of speakers such as the Georgia Teacher of the Year, Superintendents and distinguished educators. High school students will also attend breakout sessions with faculty, staff and students with a focus on opportunities for majoring in education at KSU. The conference ends with lunch in the KSU’s Commons Dining. KSU’s Dining is ranked #12 Best College Food in America.
