"Upward Bound has changed my life tremendously for the better. Before this program I knew I wanted to go to college, but did not know what steps I needed to take. Immediately as I became part of the program, they gave me all the tools necessary for me to succeed. They’ve provided me with help to apply to college, SAT and ACT test preparation, academic support, and an opportunity for personal growth. They’ve prepared and motivated me to achieve my goals. My favorite memories from high school would have to be from trips taken with the program, in particular one trip that let my adventurous side come out. Although the trips, guidance, and help that I received were awesome, what I enjoyed the most would have to be that we always were each other’s biggest cheerleader and wanted the best for one another.
Now that I am in college, I find myself reaching out to the Upward Bound directors for guidance or any questions that I have. Something that most people do not realize is that the program isn’t just to guide you in high school, but they will also assist you throughout college. Ultimately, Upward Bound has become family and I am truly forever grateful for all the help that they have given me!"
