Student Teaching Abroad Uganda

Program Description

Teacher preparation candidates in P-12 complete 6 to 13 hours of credit in their student teaching semester in the appropriate grade and content area of their education major. Placements are at P-12 International School of Uganda, in Kampala, Uganda, the site of Makerere University, collaborating exchange partner with KSU. Students will be housed locally in apartments or homestays while they are teaching 40 hours weekly. The official language of instruction is English. Students will take excursions in the country of Uganda and will complete service learning while they are in the host country.
