Education Abroad BCOE Faculty Proposal Timeline

Jan/Feb 2019 – The Director of Global Engagement puts out a call for proposals and shares information about the process with faculty. Chairs encourage participation.

Feb/March 2019 – The Director of Global Engagement submits a list of faculty interested in writing proposals to chairs.

Jan-March 2019 – Faculty discuss proposal ideas with their chair and other chairs as appropriate.

Jan-March 2019 – Faculty write new proposals or revise renewal proposals and consult as needed.

March 18, 2019 – Deadline for submitting proposals to the GEC. (Late or incomplete proposals will be considered for the next academic year.) Proposals have a 5PM deadline.

March 29, 2019 – GEC provides feedback to faculty.

March 29 - April 10, 2019 – Faculty revise proposals based on feedback.

April 10, 2019 – Deadline for faculty to submit EAO 2019 program proposals. (Incomplete proposals will be asked to resubmit for 2020.) Proposals have a 5PM deadline.

Tentative: April 11, 2019 – EAO sends complete list of submitted proposals to Deans, Associate Deans, Division of Global Affairs (DGA) Standing Committee and requests prioritization.

Tentative: mid-April 2019 – GEC meets to prioritize proposals.

Tentative: mid-April, 2019 – BCOE Director of Global Engagement sends prioritized list to Education Abroad Director
