How do I get more information?

When and how will I know if I am accepted?
Review of applications takes several weeks and begins after the application deadline has been reached. You will receive an email from the graduate school notifying you of your acceptance. In that email you will also receive information about proving your US citizenship, orientation detail and registration instructions. After this, a formal letter will be sent to your home address detailing your acceptance as well.

I have successfully completed a related course at another institution, will the credit hours apply toward this program?
You are able to transfer up to 9 credit hours of course work based upon review and approval by the program coordinator. This coursework cannot be older than 5 years.

Is there an opportunity to receive financial aid?
To determine if you are eligible for financial aid, please visit http://graduate.kennesaw.edu/admissionsfor information relating to options available for graduate students. Since TESOL is a critical shortage area, you may also be interested in learning more about the TEACH grants. How long will it take to complete the program?
If the recommended program of study is followed, candidates will finish the program in five semesters.

Are the courses offered at convenient times?
The M.Ed. is a fully online program; therefore, you can access course content at your convenience.

What is the average course load per semester?
Two courses per semester.

Is the GRE required?
No.

If my undergraduate major was not in education, am I eligible for this program?
If your undergraduate degree was in a field other than education you would not be eligible for the M.Ed. program. However, you would be eligible to enroll in the MAT program instead.

Is a teaching certificate required for admission into the M.Ed. in TESOL program?
Yes, you do need a valid teaching certificate in order to be accepted in to the program.
