The keynote for the second edition of the Research Week will be delivered by Dr. Sanjuana Carrillo Rodriguez, winner of the 2023 BCOE Outstanding Senior Scholar Research award.
Dr. Rodriguez is an Associate Professor of Reading and Literacy Education and Co-Director of the Academy for Language and Literacy at Kennesaw State University. Her research interests include early literacy development of culturally and linguistically diverse students, Latinx children's literature, and the experiences of Latinx teachers and pre-service teachers.
Title of the keynote: Embracing Revolutionary Pedagogies: My Journey from Subtractive Schooling to Loving Pedagogies in Research, Teaching, and Service.
